NCEP Central Operations systems -- the NCEP FTP Server ("ftpprd") , NOMADS and MAG systems, and the recently-implemented MADIS and MRMS applications, are being affected by an Internet capacity issue at the NOAA Network Operations Center.  The manifestation of this issue is slow data retrieval from these services.  The root cause of the issue is that these dissemination systems utilize the NOAA Internet link and that link has reached saturation, especially at those times of the day when the major models are being disseminated.
